Today is “National Pay it Forward Day”. What does that mean. Well, in simple terms we do something nice for someone for the day, and then they pass it on, and do something nice for someone else, and so on. They say kindness has a ripple effect and I think that this is the concept behind Pay it Forward day. But, why just one day? Shouldn’t this be a thing we do everyday?
Imagine the kind of world we would live in if every single person on the planet did something kind to someone EVERYDAY. Wow, that would be pretty awesome. I truly believe that healing comes with kindness, forgiveness, understanding and patience. If someone hurts us, forgive, if someone is having a bad day, be kind. Try to understand that someone might be struggling with something you dont’ know about and have patience. This is one thing I have always tried to instill in my kids everyday. When they get a teacher that is just mean or crabby, realize there may be something going on in their life that’s making them that way and have the patience to deal with it. Show them kindness, you never know what it will do for them.
Being kind and paying it forward could actually mean a world of difference to someone.
